Birth announcement: New cousin!
My poor auntie was 17 days overdue, had to be induced twice and ended up needing a C section but my new cousin is finally here. His name is Micah Alexander. Now I've only seen Micah in text and not said out loud to us yet so I don't even know yet whether it's pronounced Mike-AH or Mee-Kah. What do you think? Thoughts on the name.

We have very close friends who had a DS two weeks after our DS Jasper was born and his name is Micah Jack. Micah seems to be gaining popularity here in Australia over the last couple of years. We pronounce it mike-ah.

MIKE-a. I prefer Michael for anyone who wants a son called Mike, but (a) I tend away from the less-used biblical names and (b) where I live there's a chain of hardware stores called Mica. No -h, but it still gets in the way.I like the combo. And well done, Auntie! She must be so glad it's over.
