I like it a lot too. I went to school with a girl named Courtney Victoria. That might sound kind of high class or snobby, but I think it's a really pretty combo.

Courtney reminds me of Heathers - like the girls (the Heathers) from that movie. So it does sound snobby imo. Besides, being objective, I don't think it's a flattering name for a girl at all - it's too manly and ugly imo.

I actually think of it as a sort of "chav" name, and it sounds low class to me. I've never liked it, just because it sounds so harsh and isn't very pretty. I prefer it on a boy but I don't think that would go down well.

lmao. That's totally the other way Courtney could go! I could see a Courtney being friends with Vickie Pollard - actually doesn't she have a friend named Courtney??

It was pretty popular over here for a while, at least it was lumped in with popular names. Jessica, Amanda, Courtney, and Brittany all kind of fit into the same category to me: thoughtless and kind of dull.

I love the name Courtney! I know a guy with a two year old daughter Courtney. It think it's very pretty.

I've never like it. It's gender-neutral, but I always think of Skipper (Barbie's sister) and her friend Courtney (basically a brunette Skipper doll).

I don't like it at all...it is dated trendy

I really dislike it. It's overused, 80's trendy, and very boring, and I don't like the way it looks or sounds.
