Caspar
My SO recently found out about a relative from the early 1800s named Caspar, who sounds like a really awesome guy. And now it's got me thinking about the name :) I already love the nn Cass. So, opinions on Caspar? And wdyt of the combo Caspar Whitney?

I have to champion Caspian over Caspar, which is a rarity for me as I really don't care for Caspian. Caspian doesn't have as deep a notch in pop culture, though, and it doesn't sound as childish as Caspar. I just can't find much to like about that name, sorry.

I think Caspar is cool and I like this spelling better than Casper. I do think some people would associate it with the friendly ghost, but if that doesn't bother you then that's fine
I don't like Whitney though, it's definitely a girls name for me -although I dislike it on a girl too! Caspar Whitney doesn't sound good, the names are mismatched and I just don't like Whitney.
