I like it, it is pretty, but it is my sister's name so maybe I'm biased. My sister hates it though. She says she hates the sound at the end. And no I don't think it is at all dated. My sister is 18 and I know several other Laura's between the ages of 18 and 22. Every now and then I come across a Laura in the birth announcements section of a national paper (in England).
