See I love, Firefly. I lived and breathed it for a few years. It's still one of my favorite shows, but I just can't get on board with Serenity as a name, because all I can think of is Simon, in Out of Gas, saying he always thought it sounded vaguely funereal. Serenity as a ship name? Awesome. Serenity as a child's name? I think of death. That's just how it is.
