Samaritan
Yes, I saw this in my copy of the November-December copy of Solidarity (UAW magazine mailed to union members and retirees like my father). So what do you think of the idea of Samaritan as a name?

I gfind it unfortunate. Sure, the Samaritan story is a good one, but the Samaritans were outcasts and the name is weird.

I can see why someone likes it. It isn't an unpleasant sound, really. But, I mean... The Good Samaritan. Can anyone think of anything but that?

That's why I don't like it. It sounds great, but the associations are almost of the Madonna or Elvis type.

Probably the reason they picked it is because of the good samaritan?

Also Samaritans, the suicide helpline

I wasn't aware of their existence. That makes it even less favorable, imo.

Oh yes, it's a worse association than the good Samaritan.
