Crescent
WDYT about Crescent for a girl? In Sweden it's a bike brand, so it wouldn't be the best name, but I still think that it sounds beautiful, at least as a mn.

Moon, rolls, nn for butt crack...no, just no.
I live in a neighborhood called Crescent Hill, so that wouldn't work too well in my associations. I like how it makes me think of the moon though.
It's familiar to me as a name through Crescent Dragonwagon, but I mostly think of crescent rolls.
Of course, I like Circle as a mn, so I can't honestly say Crescent doesn't work.

I think it's awful. It would be like naming a kid Road or Street!
Street, Avenue, Road... then I think of the moon.
Too "lotus birth" for me. Crunchy.

Crescent is pretty, but it just doesn't feel very name-like to me. I saw a film with Senta Berger in it that made me think about Crescentia nicknamed Senta for a while. Unfortunately, though I like Senta, I think it's too close to Santa to work well where I live.
Definitely a GP of mine. I don't know how hippy-dippy I'll be if/when I have kids, but if it's "very dippy" then Crescent would definitely have a place on my list, probably as a middle name. I like what it represents - that a lot is "hidden," like how a lot of the crescent moon is hidden in the dark.
No, not a good option.
There is a children's author in the US called Crescent Dragonwagon, but that's got to be a pen name. Dragonwagon, at any rate.
