Taria
I heard this name today. I'm guessing on the spelling but it was pronounced like Maria with a T. Thoughts? It's simple but somehow seems like it could be trendy, even though it isn't popular.

My automatic reaction was to pronounce it TAR-ee-uh, not ta-REE-uh (Maria is ma-REE-uh to me). I'm rhyming it with Aria.I don't really like it but I can see that it could become popular because Tara is relatively popular.

It does seem like it could almost be trendy. I don't think I like the sound. And that spelling makes me want to say DAR-ee-ah (like the Dar in Darlene. Tarea?
Tareah?
Tariah?

I think Tariah would rhyme with Mariah. Tarea looks logical to have a name which rhymes with Maria.

I thought it was an anglicised version of Tarja until I read the pronunciation part. I'd like it better if it was pronounced like Daria with a t.

I think it's okay, but I wouldn't pronounce it like Maria with a T. Rather something like tah-RIAH.
