I pronounce it DER-mit. I don't like "Dermot," I don't like the way it looks at all, but I LOVE Diarmaid. I don't know anyone with any spellings. My favorite combo with it is Diarmaid Eugene. Great colors. I think the spelling Dermot goes well with Niko, Emerson, and Lachlan.
