I think it may sound really weird on the US, but where I live it sounds just a little :) Funny, isn't it?
"Enescu" would mean something like "son (or daughter) of Aeneas". The "-escu" is like "-son" in English, "-sohn" in German and "-vich/-ovna" in Russian.
