I prefer Oskar. To me this is the most common way to spell the name. I know a few people with this name and they all spell their name with a k.

Oscar. Oskar has a vaguely sinister, 1930's Berlin quality to it that I don't much like. Oscar just looks friendlier and more laid-back.

Oscar, definitely. It just looks so much more handsome and polished with the c than the k. The k spelling, though I know legitimate, does have an heir of trendy to me, since there are a lot of parents who love unique spellings and the letter k.

Oscar, just because it looks nicer to me. The 'k' in Oskar looks clunky and out of place. I'm also in the US where Oskar would always be misspelled.

Oscar, it's got a nicer shape than Oskar. Yes, spelling definitely change the way I see a name, sometimes just slightly, sometimes drastically so.

I like both spellings. I guess if I had to choose, I'd pick Oscar, just because it looks cleaner and more familiar. An Oskar would probably have to constantly correct people on the spelling.

Oscar reminds me of Oscar Wilde, and Oskar reminds me of Oskar Schindler.

Oskar is a bit heavier, but not in a bad way.

Both are fine but different. Oscar looks younger, Oskar is more serious. Oscar is fresh and classy, Oskar is cold and classic. I think I prefer Oskar, don't know why :)
