Roger
Thoughts?
I can't decide if I like it or not.

Its my grandpa's name, so I have an attachment for that reason. If it wasn't my grandpa's name I probably wouldn't care for it either way.
I love it! Rogers is my surname so I've always sort of toyed with using Roger (or even Rogers) as a FN for a future son. I really didn't like it until recently though, and now it's one of my favorites. My tattoo artist's name is Roger so that help give it a good image in my mind. My current combo is Roger Atlas :)
There were about three days where I really liked this name. Now I don't anymore. I bet if I met a really genial one it would become a nice friendly name, instead of having something vaguely untrustworthy about it.
I don't really have any help here because I feel the same way. I kind of like it but then I kind of don't.
I love Roger! It has a cheesy adventurous energy and a vibrant orange-red colour. It's so cheery and rugged. I'd actually say it's one of my favourites. I think about Roger a lot, and I don't often think about boy's names.
I personally love pairing it with ridiculous throwback type names, like Roger is a singing cowboy hero from outer space who saves film-noir dames. Like Rex Roger, Roger Buck, Abel Roger, Roger Louis, Rupert Roger, Roger Melville, Roger Carey, Roger Archie, Alec Roger, Billy Roger.
Roger is so much fun.

It's my father's name, so it's a loaded one for me. I do enjoy the sound of it, and I think it'll be due a return sometime in the next couple of decades.
Poor Roger. He never seems to get much love with the general public. I don't know how Roger will go over on these boards, but I'm afraid not well, even here.
Roger is a best-friend kind of name. Roger never seems to be the hero of the story, but he's always there to back up the good guy. I like Roger.
I came up with the combo Roger Ganymede for him. It gives me a "Roger, over and out," NASA kind of feeling.

Sooo dated. I can't imagine it on a child at all. Plus "roger" and "rogering" are slang words which are very unfortunate, so I would never call a child Roger.

This is my great-uncle's name. I think it's a little dated.
