I would like to hear it in real life. It is a handsome name.

I like how it looks, not so much how it sounds.

You know, I've never liked it, but I'm not sure why.

I hate the name. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because of religious overtones; maybe because of TMNT; maybe because it has always struck me as a bit pretentious like Romeo or Orlando. I'm not sure.

For me this will always be the name of the children's mental health department at a local hospital and, more recently, the vampire in The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. As well as the angel, of course. So for me it is completely unusable.

I like it. I have for a while. Raph is a dashing nickname as well. Lately, though, I am partial to Rafferty over Raphael. (Though when I mentioned Rafferty to my sister she said "that's not a name" - so what do I know??)

I hadn't thought much about it before, but now I know a baby Rafael and rather like it.

I met a young Raphael recently and I quite liked the name, but I don't love it. It might be because I still get a "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" vibe from it!

I love it. I like Rafael too, but lately I'm liking Raphael better.

I love it. I love masculine names ending in L and it's so uncommon around here.
