Close to B, but more of a ZAV than a ZAY-v. A short A, in other words. To clarify: I've never met a South African named Xavier, and it is very rare to find one who speaks Spanish. We have a Portuguese community who, naturally, speak Portuguese as well as English and other local languages, but Portuguese isn't taught in our schools for practical purposes.

Most similar to letter B, but I say it as two syllables- ZAYV-yer. I think it's really handsome, interesting but not too unfamiliar.

I pronounce it as in "A".
Bonus-I have a young relative named Xavier, and that's how his family say it.

I pronounce it ex-AY-vee-er. I might sometimes pronounce it ig-ZAY-vee-er if I'm being lazy though.

My mind usually pronounces it like ZAH-vi-er, it's the name of the father of someone I know (he's French).

I mix between A and C, it's the only way I've ever heard it pronounced though I know a lot of people agree on B.
