Jessica on a boy?
Hello! I haven't posted on these boards in a while, I've been sorta busy. Anyway, I was messing aroung and looking at the popularities of certain names, when I noticed that in 1991, 1990, and from 1980-1989, Jessica made the top 1000 names list for boys! This site lists Jessica as only a female name, so I thought this was a little strange.
I have trouble seeing Jessica as a boy name, probably because I know so many girls named this. I do like Jesse or Jessie on a boy though, but definately not a girl.
Just thought I'd share that with y'all!

Yes, that can be easily explained: The guys doing the statistics checked the "f" box rather than the "m" box. Or whoever did the birth certificate got the sex wrong for whatever reason.
It happens rather frequently, especially in times past. Nowadays I presume we have a few more safeguards to prevent such a thing happening so often.

That's kinda what I was thinking
especially when children are born with double genetalia. It also explains why the "popularity" of them is lowering, when in fact less errors are occurring.
