I am a lover of difficult mythology names on real people. If everyone was called Apollo, Zeus, and Aphrodite, I wouldn't mind.
But Circe? She's quite well-known as a villain. If that doesn't bother you (it wouldn't me) than go for it. The only thing stopping me is that a lot of modern writing includes the Big Bad named Circe. Such as the Gemma Doyle trilogy I just finished reading so is still fresh on my mind.
Kirke would never work in the states. The kid would be telling everyone the right way all the time and is so close to an already established male name that it would be difficult to overcome. But the Kirke pronunciation is warming up nicely to me.
