I love it - the meaning, the history, the sound, the look. I'd be ecstatic to meet a little boy named Peregrine... possibly even a girl, but I'd be skeptical too. I much prefer Peregrine, because without the E the last syllable stands out as GRIN, which is a very ugly word, imo.
