I like Adeline. On the other hand, it seems more popular to me than it really is because it is close to Madeline, which is very popular. The again, since most people pronounce Madeline MAD-ə-lin where I live and I usually hear Adeline pronounced AD-ə-lien, at least they don't usually rhyme and aren't as close to one another as they otherwise might be.

Unlike Madeline, Adeline doesn't lend itself to the nickname Maddie, which I dislike. It reminds me of the word "mad." Ada and Addie are much sweeter.
