My husband is loving Abraham right now. I've always not really loved it because its always sounded very "american" to me. (ala Abe Lincoln). But it totally works with our old man and old lady theme of names that we seem to like! Also this was what Dave's mother wanted to call him.

Im in Australia and the only Abraham i've ever met was my great-uncle from Scotland. His brothers name was Archibald (as well as my great-grandfathers name) as well but now two people I know have had babies named Archibald :( so thats out.

Nicknames for Abraham:
DH likes: Abe
I like: Bram, Abie.

Suggest us some combo's for Abraham. Last name will be Arnold

I think of the biblical character when I hear this name. That's not a bad thing though.

I love the name and would be thrilled to meet a baby Abraham! It certainly isn't common here in Australia, so that's a bonus. Abe and Abie are great nn's. I think it fits in well with the other names you like, though I wouldn't pair Abraham and Ambrose together in a sib set, as they are a little too similar imo. As for combos I like:

Rufus and Tobias are pretty wicked in there! Realistically we would only probably end up with one son, and Ambrose is much further down the list than Abraham :)

I'm glad you liked some of my combos and that you prefer Abraham to Ambrose (I do too!!). Abraham Rufus Arnold was actually one of my fave combos from the list.
