Matilda but Estella beats both.

Estelle is very regal and pretty, while Matilda is old fashioned and kind of boring, vain sounding.

I really don't like either of them. Matilda reminds me way too much of that little girl from the book and movie and Estelle sounds pretentious. If I had to choose, I'd say I prefer Estelle by a smidgen. Matilda just has this goofiness about it, like we're on a Tilt-A-Whirl or something.

I prefer Matilda. Estelle seems dated and makes me think of Joey's agent from Friends!

I love Estelle! It's gorgeous and underused. Matilda sounds too clunky for my liking.

Matilda, because I've loved it for a long time. I've recently started liking Estelle, although I still prefer Estella.

Estelle is the name of our Swedish princess. So I think it's too associated with her, even though I like the idea of Estelle "Stella".
So I'm voting for Matilda.

Matilda, for its rhythm, its history and its connection to my lovely rescue dog.I far prefer Stella to Estelle.
