Tamsin
WDYTO the name Tamsin? I heard it on a British television show I was watching on the Biography Channel--"Midsomer Murders." At the beginning of the show, I didn't much care for it, but now it's really grown on me.

Dislike. Reminds me of the hat (tam).
My best friend as a child was named Tamsen. I love her name, she loved it, people in general loved it. It was unusual but memorable, easy to say and spell and has a nice sound. She always got compliments on it, and nobody called her Tam or Tammy unless they wanted a "glare of doom."
Her parents spelled it with and -en. I don't know if that was a choice they made, or if it's an accepted variation or what. I'm so used to it that way though, and I prefer it because it doesn't include the word "sin" and it seems to have a bit softer sound.

I like it very much. I love girl's names which don't end in A and are not boy's names turned into girl's names.
Tamsin is also not overused.

I like it! It's pretty and feminine without being fluffy. Just as long as you don't call her Tammy *shudders*
I don't know about this name. Am I the only one that finds this name a little awkward to pronounce? I almost want to say Tams sum. And I'm trying to picture a child trying to say it and it coming out as Tamin.
It's growing on me too, I think it's rather cute but I don't think I'd ever use it except for a pet or fictional character.

Oh God I have the WORST aunt named Tammy! I don't mind Tamsin, though, so long as the nn is Tam and NEVER Tammy...
It sounds nice, I think. I like the "sin" sound (not the word, lol, but the actual literal sound it makes).
