I grew up in a neighborhood with a high Hispanic population, and among them Adriana was one of the most common names, so I heard it a lot as a kid. Even so, I think it has a very nice sound. I vacillate between Adriana and Adrianna sometimes.

-iana names are really popular these days to the point that a lot of them seem to blur together, but Adriana has enough substance that it doesn't seem too trendy and fluffy to me. I think it's a beautiful name.

I loved Adriana when I was a kid. The first time I heard it was on my stepmother's favorite soap, Santa Barbara, when Eden and Cruz (the power couple) had a baby they named Adriana. I thought it was gorgeous.

Eh. It's surprisingly hard to work with.

It's a perfectly fine name, and I can even see the beauty in it, but for some reason I just don't like it. It even seems a tad dated to me- 90s/early 00s- maybe because it's a lot like names I grew up with. It also gives me an image of an overly-tanned, rich teen girl who thinks she's God's gift to Earth. Sorry!

I know several my age (some spelled Adrijana) and quite like it. I do prefer the male form Adrian, but it would be great to see a baby Adriana among all these currently popular names.
