Ellen
I'm looking at using Ellen. My family's Catholic and my mother wants a strong Catholic name in the middle spot - it's my compromise with her.Can anyone help?

I think Ellen is beautiful! It's feminine but not too frilly or over-the-top and it's a good balance of uncommon but easy to spell and pronounce. Love it!I'm not sure what would constitute a strong Catholic name...

Ellen is gorgeous and underappreciated. Good for you! Isn't Ellen a variant of Helen? I know of at least one Saint Helena. Does that do the trick? I was raised Catholic. While I don't attend any more, I do adore Catholic saint names. There are so many. St. Iphigenia comes to mind. It's surprising how vast the name pool is. So how about:Ellen Patricia
Ellen Maria
Ellen Clare / Claire
Ellen Theresa
Ellen Margaret
Ellen Frideswide (more than your mother bargained for, I'd say, but still I like it)
Ellen Adelaide
Ellen Kateri
Ellen Julitta
Ellen Matilda
Ellen Cleopatra (just to see her eyes bug)
Ellen Eugenia
Ellen Tabitha
Ellen Scholastica (this would be very cool)
Ellen Hyacinth
Ellen Juniper / Junipera (not sure if Junipero Serra is a saint or a blessed)
Ellen Winifred
Ellen Rose Philippine
Ellen Audrey
Ellen Bernadette
Ellen Benedicta / Benedicte
Ellen Jeanne-Elisabeth
Ellen Theodora
Ellen Abigail:-D
