The name always makes me think of the phrase "It grates on my nerves", and I can't shake that association. So, for me, the name would be a no-no, unfortunately. :3

Unfortunately both "gray" and "Grecian" come to mind, making me think of the men's hair/beard product.

I've always loved Gratian nn Gray since I first heard it around 6 or 7 years ago. I'm probably going to use this name for a character in a novel I plan on writing. It sounds strong but also very gentle, it sounds like the name of a kind, just, noble knight. The character won't be a knight though I plan on him seeming like a modern day knight.

I like it. It's a really rare, beautiful name and the nickname Gray is smart imo. I see the name only for a boy (I'm a little confused that some people consider it for a girl..?).

Gratian always reminds me of Grecian Formula for Men. I don't know if they still make that product, so it may not matter for your child's generation. But I can't get past it, sorry.
