This is so cool. I wish there were more sites/information about "indigenous arctic" (I know that's a craptastic description, but I can't think what blanket term to use) culture/names/tradition, because it's so interesting. I would give my left arm to know more about the Komi apart from what wiki and a few googled sites can tell me.
