Naneke
Your opinions on the name Naneke?
Would you pronounce it NahNEEK or NaNECK? It's supposed to be pronounced NaNECK.
Any other ways to spell it that would reduce confusion on its pronunciation?
Any suggestions for a name that has the same sort of exotic, "distant lands" feel, but isn't Naneke, for a girl?
Thank you in advance!!!

I'd say nah NAY kay, like it's from an indigenous language. I suppose NaNek would be the most logical spelling to me. It sounds like someone who's learning to speak, not a name.
it's confusing I think
I'd instinctively say NAH-nə-kə, I don't even know how I'm supposed to get your pronunciation out of it.
Nanek would be less confusing pronunciation-wise, but then it'd look more like a boys name...

Honestly, I would have pronounced it "nah-neh-keh" like Anneke.
For na-NECK, maybe Nanneque?
Edited to add: I have no idea if this is a boy or a girl name, I've never head it or seen it before. I know guys named Eneko, which looks like of similar, and I know a girl named Anouk, but that's all I've got. Oh, and a girl named Anik (ah-NIK).

I would pronounce it NAH-ne-ke. It's rather cute, but sadly it sounds a bit like "no neck". (I know, I'm stupid!)
naNECK in what language? I've never met one, but it looks like a variant of Anneke, which is AHnuhkuh.
If you want to reduce confusion, try Nanique. Granted, it would be naNEEK, but at least it shouldn't confuse people.

It looks like NAHN-neh-kuh to me, like Anneke and Janneke.
If it's two syllables, it seems pretty close to Nanook / Nanuq / Nanuk, which is a male name.
If it is a fantastical name I'd spell NahNEEK Nanique, Naniq, Nanik, Naneake
NahNECK I'd spell Naneque, Naneq, Nanec, Nanecque, Nanecq, Nanekk
