Bruno
Bruno the cat was missing but now he's back. He was in the rafters of some lady's basement. He is happy to be back but has just had a bath and now he's walking around crankily shaking the water off his legs and scowling.
As celebration,
What do you think of the name Bruno?
For a ginger?
For a ginger cat?
What about these names that he almost had:
Cosmo
Geronimo
We call him Bru a lot

The only Bruno I have ever known was my glamorous French cousin Marion's stuck-up boyfriend, who was gorgeous, magnificently sneery and utterly contemptuous of idiot rosbifs trying to practise their crappy French on him. So it sort of fits your cat, because I can see that he's trying to do gorgeous, magnificently sneery etc etc. Unfortunately for him, I also see adorable kittyness which is overriding the rest a bit. It's still a good name, though, and yup I do think it suits him
Bru fits perfectly for me as a gingery name because I instantly think of Irn Bru, which is a bright orange Scottish fizzy pop drink made from rusty girders (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irn-Bru)
Geronimo is fun and Cosmo is good but I like Bruno better.

TBH (since I figure you'd prefer that) I think Bruno sounds like a hipster name, on a cat belonging to, you know, the person he belongs to. Ironic, or else literary in some in-jokey way. Bruno seems kind of stormy and oh so Continental, to me.
Also Bruno was the name of a gene I studied when I worked in the lab. I can't remember why it was named that ... oh, yeah, it was an in-jokey thing, referring to names of other genes. So maybe that is why I feel that way about it on the cat, and in general. Maybe if not for that gene thing, I'd think of Bruno the way I do about, say, Klaus, or Sergio. I think Klaus or Sergio would be good names for that cat. Fitting his face, with the sardonic look he has from that white marking, and fitting the coloring better somehow.
Bru seems to suit him well, though, and seems nicely less serious.

Good news!
He looks more like a Cosmo to me. I LOVE the name Cosmo for a cat! Bruno has always been more of a dog name to me - either a big doofy bull-dog type, or (ironically) on a tiny yipper-snapper

Yeah Bruno definitely has something of the galumpping about it.
That's great news!
Bruno is okay. It catches my interest, but I don't really like or dislike it. Poor Bruno still sounds a bit like the not-too-bright Italian-American heavy from a 70s cop show loaded with stereotypes, and that's unfortunate. I'd love to meet a Bruno.
It's hard for me to hear Bruno without thinking "brown," so it's not a name I would pick if I were creating a big list of ginger names. That said, it doesn't strike me as odd to see it on a ginger cat. I'm sure the same would be true if I saw it on a redheaded person, too.
He would have been a good Cosmo, but Bruno/Bru suits him. He's a cutey. I love that "I can't believe I have to put up with these stupid humans" look on his face.

Bruno is a good name for a cat or a dog. Not so great for a person because it calls to mind some huge bear of a man who is all muscle but moves very slowly and thinks even slower.
Cosmo is okay. Geronimo not so much. Everytime you called for him it would sound like you were getting ready to jump off something.

I don't think Bruno suits him..
I always see Bruno as a dark colour, so someone with Brown hair or black hair or even dark brown eyes.. I like it but if a child had my complexion i'd struggle to see him as a Bruno.

Some years back, my daughter had a boyfriend named Bruno;judging from the photos I've seen of you, this guy could have been your cousin. :-)
He was of average height, slender build, blond hair, grey eyes. His parents were from Austria, they came to Canada as immigrants.
The name is perhaps more common in Europe?

Lol
Maybe we could have a little Bruno! I do worry that its a tad "ethnic" sounding for us and our very English sorta names (Rebecca & David Arnold) Bruno Arnold does sound cool... Theodore and Bruno as brothers sound very European ;)

Man, Bruno Arnold is awesome. Please use it.
Yeah that threw me off at first. I was like... "he's orange."
Delighted that he's back! Bru is a wonderful nn, but if he were mine he'd have been Geronimo for sure. He just looks like trouble!
Eh, I'm not really fond of the name Bruno, especially not on a person. It just seems sort of...mean sounding, somehow. I think it can work on pets, though, especially ginger cats. The only cat named Bruno I ever knew was my aunt Joyce's big, fat, old, and mean ginger cat.
As for this cat in question, I can't really say that he looks like a Cosmo or a Geronimo, but I'm not sure if he looks like a Bruno, either. He looks very...dignified, almost. I think he needs something sort of upperclass and stuffy, like Percival. Yes, Bruno looks like a Percival to me...but NOT Percy, of course. :)

Yes, as I said, he is rather noble looking. I think he kind of looks like he has a moustache, as a matter of fact. But to me, Bruno will always sound kind of big and dumb.
