I think Blake sounds masculine enough, although I think it's a bit dated now. At least it seems that way to me. I imagine a Blake to be between the ages of 18-30. Definitely don't use Max if there is a strong association with a cat, I'd be bothered by that if it were my son.

I don't immediately think of Blake Shelton when I hear the name...there are too many Blake's in the world to make a strong association to him imo so I wouldn't worry about it. Blake Charles is a nice combo, goes well with Zoe.
