My friend's dad's name is Lindsey. He doesn't really like it though because people always ask for Mrs. Wilson, not Mr. Wilson.

Lindsay is in our top five for girls. I really love it-I think it's so pretty to look at and sounds just as pretty out loud. :) Whenever I post about it though, I get lots of: "too 80's". That doesn't bother me honestly. I grew up before the wave of Lindsays so I didn't know any personally. And I would rather use an 80's name than a 20's name-I can not get into the seriously old lady names. I think Lindsay is a great choice! I also have met two Lindsays recently under age four-so it's not out of style.

I know a boy (lindsay), and a girl (lyndsay) with this name. I much prefer it for a girl. It's pretty, and nice to say out load.
Her siblings (whelsh family) were Ira, Rhiannon and Gareth.

I like it but I don't think I'd ever use it for several reasons, it has been a bit on the popular side for a few years, I like it better as a surname or on a boy like Leslie, and it's a bit of a cheerleader type name like Chelsea or Kimberly, kind of preppy.

I think Lindsay sounds pretty though I've never understood the spelling. Linsey seem the most natural spelling to me, but I suppose the Lindsay (I like Lindsey better) spelling has historical reason.

I like the name in theory - it sounds nice and has a nice meaning, but my association is definitely cheerleader/princess. And it's funny that most Lindsays I've seen from England are anything but cheerleader-y (Lindsay Duncan, the award winning actress comes immediately mind), but not so here in the US.

It's ok. Kind of '80's but it's cute.

I like it spelled Lindsey better. I know Lindsay was the original spelling, but it still looks like Lind"say" not Lind"see"
