Sandra?
What are your thoughts on the name Sandra?
Is it too dated? Also, I much prefer the pronunciation SAHN-drah, would it be realistic to use this pron. in an English speaking country? How do you prefer to pronounce it?
Thanks :)

It's quite common here and yes, I do see it as dated. However, I love Alessandra, with Sandra or Ale as a nickname.
Sandra would have been my brother's name had he been born with interior plumbing. It is dated, but I don't think it's unusable.
I think SAHN-drah is doable. I hear it all the time, so often that it would be hard for me to say with any accuracy whether SAHN-drah or SAN-drah is more common.

Sandra is cute. It is a bit dated, but around here it's still moderately popular especially with Hispanics.
I think the Sahn-Dra pronunciation is very pretentious, like the person saying it that way would also say to-mah-to and vahz for vase.
