Strongly dislike both Payton & Peyton, for either gender. For boys, they sound too close to surnames (not to mention towns) for me to consider as a first name. And for girls, they are all that, plus too masculine.
Funny thing is, though, I read in a study a while back (that I think was posted here) that women with masculine-sounding names tend to be more successful in the workplace than women with more feminine names.
