Tabitha?
What does every one think of Tabitha? I'm really crushing on it right now, but want to know what others think. Thanks so much!

I like it, and would like it much more if only it didn't shorten to Tabby. Too feline, I'm afraid. What about Talitha? Good feminist credentials, and more likely to be taken seriously.

I hate it. It sounds so cat like.

I love it. It's witchy and saucy. But for some reason I don't think I could use it because when I was like 7 I knew a girl named Tabitha. We weren't friends or enemies, I just knew her, so for some reason that means I can't use it. I make no sense. It could be a really cool middle name too I think.

It's been growing on me the past few months, probably due to the names boards I'm on. It's slowly growing in popularity. Not keen on Tabby, but it's not that bad. Bitsie is awful though.

I used to hate it. But nowadays I've got to say I'm quite drawn to it, it brings to mind a very shy little girl - which is the reason I used to dislike it - but now I'm seeing this image in a different light and think that I don't mind it. I wouldn't use it personally though because of the potential nickname Tabby - which is a cat.

I do like it, but more for a mn than a fn.

I like it a lot. It's charmingly quirky. I agree with others that Tabby is a potential drawback, but if you could come up with an alternate nickname, or if she just went by Tabitha in full, it wouldn't be too much of a problem.

I'm loving it too. Don't hear it enough for sure. Its a bit snooty, but I think that's why I love it.

I think it sounds sleek and sophisticated without sounding snooty. I think of a woman sitting in a dimly lit parlor of a large old house. I see the nickname Tabby as a drawback, but someone named Tabitha wouldn't necessarily need a nickname.

I like Tabitha. Not enough to use, but I love it for someone else. The only thing is I hate Tabby.

UghDespise. This is one of the first names that I absolutely loathe. It reminds me of chunky, gross tapioca. I've only known one Tabitha and she made me hate the name even more. I never liked it before her and I severely disliked it after her. She was so loud, rude, mean, and such a bully. I was never one of her victims (she prefered to prey on the shy, quiet, nervous kids or the thugs because she was sleeping with all of them and trying to get pregnant all the time). So Tabitha is so trashy to me.

Tabitha was one of the first names that made me realize I loved names. :) And I love Tabs or Bitsie as nicknames.
