Rain

It's cute in theory, but kinda silly and hyppy-dippy. But I can see it working as a mn.
I actually prefer Rain, this spelling only, on a boy. It erks me when people change the spellings of words to "make them look more like names". That aside, I do really like it.
It's a guilty pleasure, but in the real world I think it's pretty ridiculous regardless of spelling. I do love Raina, though.
I have a friend called Raine, and I think it suits her perfectly. Because I know her, Raine seems like a name to me, while Rain just a word - the same goes with Brooke, Skye, etc. I'd never use it because it's not my style, and because I know someone with the name, but I think it's a nice name.
I like Rain. If I used it I'd probably use it as a mn with a longer fn, but I like it as a fn too. I also like Raine but I usually prefer Rain. (I also prefer Brook and Sky to Brooke and Skye. Raine might be the only word name with an e on the end that I actually like...) I know a few people named Rayne. I wouldn't use that spelling but it has grown on me.
I know a guy named Rayne. For some reason it seems to be the by far most common spelling. The only one that makes the top 1000.
