I like James a lot. It's a classic and handsome name, albiet rather common. However, I dislike nicknames like Jim or Jamie. I like just James on it's own.
One of my best friends is called James. We've known each other since we were 6 and he is also good friends with my fiancé. If we ever have a son, he will probably have the middle name James, after him.
James Arthur is lovely, incidentally that's the name (first and last) of the latest winner of the X Factor in the UK.
