Re: My beliefs on that
I'm trying to think back when I first read the books. I think her first appearance was the 5th one so I probably read that when it first came out. I.... honestly cannot remember my initial reaction to her. I know I liked her but I don't know how much. Probably a lot as I like quirk. Too forced, eh? I could actually see that. And, really, upon my rereading of the book I think I prefer Movie Luna to Book Luna. Which is rare since, while I love and own all the movies, they are seriously lacking. But I'm one of those people who think Harry should have ended up with her (but I'm no "shipper") simply because I hated Ginny. She was such a Mary Sue. "Ginny did this and everyone laughed." "Ginny did this and it was amazing." "Ginny did this and was fantastic at it." "Ginny did this and it was spunky and great and everyone's in love with Ginny because she's the perfect embodiment of a good girlfriend" Blah blah Ginny.

I read something excellent on GinnyShe's a Mary Sue because the books are through "Harry Vision" and so as soon as Harry notices her, it's all "omg ginny is perfect"Read:

I like Ginny. Guess I'm in the other camp.
