I think Daphne is quite darling and love the combos Daphne Christina and Daphne Sophia. I like the rhythm of them.

It is ok. It is too similar to "daffy" for me and I just think of a really ditzy girl.

It's been growing on me a lot lately as well. I like the -ph and it looks very soft but still sophisticated. I feel that any kind of girl could pull this name off - everything from a tomboy to a little princess.

It's good, if and only if it never turns into Daffy.I was at school with two cute and pleasant sisters called Isabel and Daphne, and not a nickname in sight. They've left me with good memories and impressions.

I'm more neutral on this one than I really want to be. I do like it - it's posh and dark and flowery and I love the imagery there (I picture a Betty Page type of girl wearing a black on white polka dot dress, dark lipstick and big crown of flowers in her hair) but the sounds aren't actually all that pleasing, I don't think. If I'm honest with myself, Daphne sounds like an exasperation. Even so it's on my and my SO's 'agreed upon' list so I'd totally still use it Figuratively, she's awesome, powerful and alluring - aesthetically she's.... meh.

I like it, but it sounds a lot like "daffy".

Seconded!

It sounds like a sneeze to me. A sneeze somebody is trying hard to suppress but isn't doing too well at it.

I like Daphne very much. My newest niece is a Daphne Pauline, and she's so sweet. Her name seems to fit her perfectly.

Wow, Daphne Pauline is adorable!

Daphne Pauline is ADORABLE! I was just thinking yesterday about how muck I actually like Pauline/Polina, even though I never give them much thought

Yes, what an unexpected combo. Lovely.

Diaphanous Daphne, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways: you're pretty, spunky and possess Greek-chic. What's not to love?

I quite like it actually. I'm surprised it isn't more common. Here in Australia you don't really see or hear it very often. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever met a Daphne.
