Amity

I definitely don't consider Amity cheesy! I love it.
I do like it, and I don't think it's cheesy, but I do have trouble divorcing it from "The Amityville Horror".
I quite like it... Prob'ly because the only person I've ever met w/ the name is pretty rad and the meaning is good and it's not overused... If I had enough children to use up a bunch of names on my combo list, there would definitely be an Amity happening eventually... maybe not immediately, but eventually... (I have a number of combos I quite like and would want to use, but it's definitely one I'd be happy to have as one of "my kids" and not just a name for "someone else's kid" if you know what I mean.)
No, it's not too cheesy. I once met a woman named Amity who was a friend of my sister's. I thought it was a nice name.
Amityville Horror ruined this name, IMO. I can't warm to it.
