Weaver
stumbled across a Weaver (male) on my husbands family tree, what do you think?

I really don't see the appeal of occupational names (like Thatcher, Tanner, etc.), they just don't seem like personal names to me (I guess a large part of it is the fact that we don't have them where I live).

That's my maiden name and I've never been a big fan of it even as a surname.
Not a fan. It has a pleasant sound but it's too wordy for me and it reminds me mostly of Hugo Weaving.
It's a decent surname or middle name (if a family name), but I dislike it as a first name. I don't mind surnames as first names, but this one just doesn't do anything for me.
Time to climb aboard the Dream Weaver Train! I kind of actually like this.
Too surname-y for me. I keep thinking of Sigourney Weaver.
Well, it is similar to other occupational surnames like Walker, Spencer and Fletcher that are rather trendy right now. I think it could definitely work as some people in this age might not even know what a weaver was. And since it honors family that's a great connection!
Can I ask what era the family tree Weaver lived? It would be interesting to know if he was named using his Mother's surname or not.

He was named for his mothers surname it was in the very early 1900s if I remember correctly. I think its starting to grow on me and I love the family connection.
