I like it pronounced LEER-ah (similar to "lyric"), but the LYE-rah pronunciation always sounds like a villain's name to me. Not sure why. It just has a dark, sinister vibe to it to my ears. So, I like it, but not pronounced like LYE-rah. My cat's name is Lyra pronounced the other way.
