Cilla
Ever since reading Johnny Tremain as an adolescent, I have been fond of the name Cilla. Now, 15 years removed from the last time I have read that novel, I am still so in love with the name Cilla. Everyone I tell this to finds the name to be silly. What do you guys think? Is it more of a nickname than a true name or does it possess more merit?

If I wasn't familiar with the name, my first instinct would be to pronounce it KILL-uh, almost like killer. I definitely don't care for that.
If you were to use it, I'd say go with Priscilla or even Cecilia nn Cilla.

Oooh! I remember my mom reading Johnny Temaine to me when I was a girl and thinking the name Cilla was so pretty! Recently I met a sweet young lady named Priscilla but she always goes by "Cilla" and it suits her perfectly. I don't think it's a silly name at all.
I actually like Cilla better than Celia, which always sounds stuck-up to me and I like Cecelia better. Cilla is more a nickname to me but it might work as a full name or even a nickname for Cecilia. I do this Priscilla is a very pretty name too.

I think of a vulgar woman who is mouthy and always complains until she gets her own way. This image really but me off.
Otherwise I think of Cilla Black. Also buts me off

It's a nickname to me.
It just seems like a nn for Priscilla to me. I need to ruminate more to decide if I like it or not.
