I have a student (child of immigrants) named Emmanuel, and he's such a sweetheart. His brother is Ignacio, and he should be starting school in a couple of years, and is also a sweetie.
I'm glad we have conservative, sophisticated tastes. I might even call them 'normal' because a lot of the names on the lists have stood the test of time, and thousands, if not millions, of people were named them. Newer names may be 'normal' because you see lots of kids with the name, but they're still new, trendy names. There's only so many spellings of new names that a person can take.
