Ashleigh?
What are people's opinions on Ashleigh? While I still prefer Ashley on a boy, Ashleigh for a girl is growing on me after meeting a lovely six year old with the name. I also know a nineteen called this but she almost always goes by Ash. I like it without a nickname but what do you think: no nickname, Ash, or Leigh? Combo suggestions would also be lovely, thank you. :)

I think Ashleigh looks quite ridiculous. I don't like Ashley, but Ashleigh is significantly worse.

I don't really like it. I just find it kind of bland. Ashley (for a boy) is definitely better. Leigh is a better nickname in my opinion; Ash seems a little masculine.

Ashleigh looks over-elaborate and messy, like a Christmas tree with every available decoration plus a few strings of blingy beads.I don't mind Ashley, though it is dated. It retains some elegance, which Asheleigh lacks. I'd like to see Ashley Susannah or Ashley Suzette, depending on the ln.I like Leigh as a girl name, at least partly because I was at school with a wonderful Leigh! For a boy I suppose I prefer Lee without actually liking it, in spite of my excellent nephew.

I usually assume the spelling is Ashley, but Ashleigh is fine. For a girl's fn, I like the spelling Leigh better than Lee, so maybe that has something to do with it. I've never heard of an Ashley with a nn, but plenty are called Ash when trying to get their attention.

The spelling is just silly and unnecessary. Ashley is unisex.

I honestly think Ashleigh is a dumb way to spell it. It doesn't make it look more feminine to me, it just looks gimmicky and childish. Ashley is unisex anyway. I don't think it needs a nickname, but Ash seems natural enough.Ashley Alexandra
