Rowan is a boy's name for me - Rowanne is the feminine form in my mind though I don't care for it.
Gotta say I've met a little five year old boy called Rowan recently who has rocketed my opinion of the name - he is just so cute and lovely - the name has really been lifted.
I wouldn't put Rowan and Xanthe as siblings personally. I dislike Felix a lot but Rowan Matthias is nice.
