Dated certainly, but not outdated. I think it's totally delightful and ready for a major comeback.

Sally is fantastic! It is not too outdated at all in my mind. It's one of the few nicknames that works as a full name in my opinion. I had never met a Sally until recently, I was very surprised to learn her name, it is uncommon.

Well, it's my niece's name. It suits her- she is a very exuberant, bright little girl. Her parents are often complimented for choosing a name that isn't Ava, Sophie, or McKenna, so I think people still like it. I didn't like it at all until my niece was born, but now I love its retro charm.

No, not outdated, and rather sweet. It should get more love.

I have a friend called Sally-Ann who ALWAYS went by Sally - in fact I didn't found out it was double barrelled until a few months after meeting her. We're 16, so I don't found it "too" dated, I think it's quite charming and relaxed, I'm sure someone would be able to pull it off. :)

I'm in love with Sally. I think it's adorable and due for a comeback. I bet it'll come back soon. I hope it doesn't become too popular. I wouldn't be against using this for one of my future girls.
