No offence, but I find it far too sweet and even a bit cutesy, no doubt because 'mel' means 'honey' (the sweet golden goo, not darling) in Portuguese. I can't seem to look past that, but I suppose it would work in an English-speaking country. Romy is okay, not really my style but it's sorta cute. It reminds of me Romy Schneider.
