Percius
We had to go to the hospital yesterday (long story, but don't worry, everything is okay), and while we were in the waiting room, we heard a mother call her son Percius (just guessing at the spelling.) She called him Percy on occasion, which was kind of cute. I'd never heard the name before, but I don't know what to make of it. Thoughts?

I would assume a spelling of Perseus... Percius makes me think of "precious." Perseus was a major hero in Greek mythology, and I'd assume that's where she got the name.

Perseus was an ancient Greek hero who killed Medusa, there is a constellation after him. I'm guessing thats where they got it from. I think its kind of cute in a refreshing sort of way and is a much nicer option for a full name for Percy since I'm not a fan of Percival.

Ah, it probably is spelled Perseus, then. I didn't know about the Greek myth.
