Re: Welsh BAs

I didn't realise that Cai is a "real" name - I find Kai tacky but this legitimates the name!
Buddug is singularly unattractive to my saesneg ear and eye!

Hehe, Cai is technically a 'real' Welsh name, being in various early legends etc - but it's a very recent revival (dating from the 80s, by the look of it), which might quite possibly be connected with the fad for Kai. I don't fancy it much either. :DBuddug is really quite nice in Welsh! - like bithig, a soft and pleasant sound.

Thanks. I'm interested in Wales and I recently discovered that my (non-Welsh-speaking) Welsh-born gran's great-grandfather was born near the place called St Elvis in Pembrokeshire. St Elvis is certainly an obscure personage! I had to blink a few times when I saw the map.
