Brihony/Briony/Bryony
In Childcare today we were watching a kiwi programme "Raise My Kids". Brhiony was having to raise her mates kids with her fiance. This is the first I have heard of it and I think it's really lovely.
WDYT of it?
Which spelling do you prefer? Brihony (this is how she spelt it), Briony or Bryony?
Also do you think it's nice with the nn Brie/Bree?
(Pronounced BRIE-awn-ee)

I've met a Brioni
Prn Bree-oh-nee. I think it's lovely
Bry-oh-nee is another prn I've heard. In general, I like the name a lot! Not sure which spelling..

I think Briony/Bryony is a beautiful name. I like the Briony spelling best (I have a thing against two Y's in one name), but I think Bryony is the most authentic spelling? I dislike random H's in names.
I think the name is too beautiful to shorten. But I guess Brie (brye, not like the cheese) would be ok.

I really don't like Brhiony. It looks very messy. Bryony is the best way to spell this name, IMO, even though it's nms in general.
Bryony is my favorite spelling. I like it. Not overly common, and not a bad name. Bree is also an excellent nn.

Bryony is one of those names that is slowing growing on me. I think it's very charming and slightly unusual. I can see this name making my top twenty in the near future.
The 'Bryony' spelling is the only spelling that I care for. Also, I'm not particularly liking the nickname Brie/Bree. Bryony is the name of a plant and Brie is a type of cheese. The word associations with both names is preventing me from seeing Brie/Bree as a suitable nickname for Bryony.

I like it too, my Uncle's ex wife's name is Briony (Bry-owe-nee) and I also know a girl named Breeony (Bree-owe-nee) I like the Breeony name a little better but they're both nice. Breeony or Briony Katherine would be a good combo. :)

Bryony is my favorite name for a girl and has been for ages. I LOVE it. I don't really care for Briony and Brihony is atrocious to my eyes, but that's probably because I love Bryony so much :-)
Brie/Bree is cute, but sounds like the cheese to me.

I like the name Briony - spelled that way. It's similar sounding to Briallen, which I really like as well (obviously... lol)
I've never met a Briony either or heard it on TV but I heard it somewhere because I know it... : this is going to drive me insane until I find out where I learned of it!

wow, one day till your neice is born? How exciting! I like Briony but I like Breigh and Briannon better. Too bad Brianna is soooo popular now, it is so pretty.
Well actually she's due today =), I think the ticker place is American and I live in NZ so it's a bit off.
