Wdyto Kurtz?
What are your opinions on the name Kurtz?

Wow, that is a horrible association Sian mentioned. I had forgotten that was his name, but yeah that's bad.
My initial reaction was that the z at the end makes it look like a brandname. Like it's trying to be cool. Plus it sounds very close to Hertz - which is a company name.

No no no way.
Kurtz?!
As in the cannibalistic, heads-on-spears tyrant guy from Joseph Conrad's classic Heart of Darkness?
I'm thinking horrible!!
Do a Google search, honey. The first link that pops up is this famous character and he's despicable and the central character that shows how corrupt humanity can be when left to their own devices. He's the whole reason the book is called "Heart of Darkness." His famous lines are, "Exterminate all the brutes!" and "The horror! The horror!"
Never would I wish for someone to be associated with such a horrible name/character. And Heart of Darkness is a classic so it is going to be people's most familiar association. (If you haven't read it, but have seen Apocalypse Now, apparently, the story is very similar. Same character name.)
No. No. No. No. Never.
