I would pronounce both Cali and Callie as KA-lee, with a stressed "short 'a' sound."
I think Callie is cute, but only as a nickname. Definitely prefer Callie to Cali, and prefer the double 'l'.
Callista is gorgeous, but I prefer Calliope over all the others. Calpurnia is also nice, though.
